Product Description
Orris Root the root of Iris grown in the Southern pasrt of Europe. Orris Root was once used in Western Medicine, but now is primarily used in the incense and perfumery industry, as a base note and fixative. Believe it or not, it is also still used as an ingrediet in many brands of gin, most notably in Bombay Saphire Gin.
The scent of the root is more like violets then the iris. Orris root is often included as one of the many ingredients of Ras el hanout, a blend of herbs and spices used across the Middle East and North Africa.
